Nazli Ghassemi was born in Iran and has traveled extensively in Europe, America, and the Middle East, living among people of many cultures and creeds. She has worked variously as a dance instructor, hotel receptionist, businesswoman, translator, simultaneous interpreter, ghostwriter, and ESL teacher. She also has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of California, San Diego. She wrote her first novel, Desert Mojito, while working and living in Dubai. She now lives in Southern California and continues to teach ESL and is working on her next novel.
